Georgios Koliopoulos obtained his Medical Degree from the School of Medicine of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens in 1995.
He specialized in Obstetrics and Gynecology in the United Kingdom from 2000 to 2007, training in internationally renowned hospitals such as John Radcliffe Hospital (Oxford), where he obtained the following diplomas and qualifications:
He was awarded a PhD by the University of Ioannina following the completion of his doctoral thesis in 2004.
He served as Lecturer in Obstetrics and Gynecology, with a subspecialty focus on Gynecologic Oncology, at the University of Ioannina from 2007 to 2012. In 2012, he was appointed to Elena Venizelou General Hospital, where he currently holds the position of Director and Scientific Head of the 2nd Gynecology Department, as well as Director of the Surgical Division.
He is also active in private practice, maintaining his own medical office, and collaborates with the IASO Maternity & Gynecology Clinic. He holds certification in ultrasound practice from the Central Health Council (KESY).
He has authored 54 publications in international peer-reviewed scientific journals, including leading general medical and gynecological journals such as The Lancet, The BMJ, and Obstetrics & Gynecology.
